Three and a half years into my comedy career, I recorded my first full-length comedy album.
After quitting my full time job to pursue comedy, I spent the very last proceeds from selling my house to hire the fanciest theater and production crew I could afford to record the event. Then the infamous 2013 Calgary floods happened. Months of preparation were washed away when my original concert show tapings were cancelled because the theater was underwater. Meanwhile, back at my third floor apartment, I had no electricity for weeks – showering in cold water, cooking food on the BBQ and drinking warm beer on the floor. When the lights came back on and the water receded the shows were back on!
This is the final product. You can download it for free, or pay whatever you want for it if you’re a billionaire. It’s not my best work but it was the best I had at the time. I worked hard and am proud of what I accomplished in those three short years. Many great moments in that hour!
Today, I’m more than double that amount of time into comedy and my next special will be much, much better.
We’re all following our hearts.
Dreams come true.
